WIPHeligram is in active development. Features and screens shown here may still change.

A Telegram client for Android and desktop. Pick the features you install, read unseen, and keep what others delete.

Install only what you use.

Calls, stories, stars, mini apps and seven more parts of Telegram are separate modules. Skip any of them on first launch and add it later from Settings.

0of 11 modules picked. The rest never touch your phone.

Read without being seen.

Ghost mode keeps read receipts, typing and your online status on your phone. Turn it on for everyone, or set exceptions for single chats.

Video notes that look like video.

Heligram records round videos with its own camera engine and squeezes out everything a video note can carry. Every knob is yours: lens, bitrate, stabilization, mirroring.

Heligram filter Beta

Our own post-processing for video notes: temporal denoise that cleans grain across frames instead of smearing detail, edge-aware sharpening and a gentle lift for dark scenes.

Private by design, not by promise.

To Telegram, a Heligram login is one more official client on one more ordinary device.

Pick how the code arrives

A device of its own

Every install gets a randomized identity, either Telegram Desktop or the official Android app, generated once and kept. No crowd of identical sessions to single you out.

Official credentials

Login goes through our server as a proxy with official Telegram app credentials. No “unofficial client” label on your account.

Your choice of code

Get the login code by SMS or on another device. Telegram has the final say on delivery, and it works in the vast majority of cases.

Plugins that ask before they touch anything.

Small tweaks are Lua plugins. Each one declares its permissions in a manifest, like an Android app, and you approve them when you turn it on. A plugin that adds a menu item gets the menu, not your messages.

Lua, not slow Python: plugins start in an instant and barely touch the battery.

[plugin]
id = "unread-counter"
name = "Unread counter"
version = "2.0.1"
author = "mx_dev"
entry = "main.lua"

[permissions]
"events.read" = "required"

[permissions."ui.slots"]
level = "optional"
reason = "Folder shortcuts in the menu"

[permissions.network]
level = "optional"
reason = "Sync the counter to a widget"

Need more power?

Build a split. Modules are signed native code with the full app at hand: new screens, new protocols, even a second messenger living inside the same app.

Themes that change more than colors.

Helithemes reshapes the app itself: bubble shapes, wallpapers and patterns, avatars, animations. It ships as its own module, so it costs nothing until you want it.

StockThe default look
PaperSquare bubbles, dotted wallpaper, serif titles
NeonGlass bubbles, gradient wallpaper, rounded avatars

And the small things you will use daily.

Keeper

Messages other people delete or edit stay with you, dimmed, with every earlier version. Last seen and read times are recorded too, even for people who hide them.

Message filters

Hide incoming messages that match a regex. Your own and service messages are never touched.

Tweaks

A long list of fixes for small annoyances in the stock app.

Menu extras

Put the actions you reach for into the chats list menu.

Send from other accounts

Reply from any account you are logged into, without switching.

Heli Sync

Keeper history and spy data follow you to every device, sealed end to end. Our server stores blobs it cannot read.

Only the popups that matter

No “Is this still your number?”, no call permission prompts for features you never asked for. Heligram keeps the bare minimum.

On your computer too.

A desktop client for Linux, macOS and Windows. Same chats, same account, the same Rust core underneath.

Written in a modern stack: Kotlin and Rust.

Source code is coming to GitHub. Architecture and module docs are already on the developer portal.
